Delete your QBAdvisor account

QBAdvisor is published by Comptrolla. This page explains how to ask us to delete your QBAdvisor account and the personal data linked to it, what we delete, and what we may keep for a limited time.

How to request deletion

1. Email qbadvisor@comptrolla.com from the email address on your QBAdvisor account.
2. Use the subject Delete my QBAdvisor account and include your full name and your company's name.
3. We'll reply to confirm the request is really from you. Once you confirm, we complete the deletion within 30 days and email you when it's done.

What we delete

• Your account: your name, your email address, and the link to any Google, Facebook, or Apple sign-in you used.
• Your conversations with the app: the questions you asked, the AI-generated answers and recommendations you received, and any photos you attached.
• Staff and vendor contacts you added, and the notification token registered from your devices.
• If you are a company owner and ask us to delete the whole company workspace: the company profile details you entered (address, phone, tax ID, logo) and the QuickBooks data synced into that workspace.

Team members and company owners

• Team members (Manager or Viewer): we delete your personal account and the data above. The company's own records stay with the company.
• Company owners: you can ask us to delete only your account, or the entire company workspace. Deleting a workspace is permanent, so we always confirm with you before doing it.

What we keep, and for how long

• Records we're legally required to keep, such as accounting or billing records, are kept only as long as the law requires, then deleted or anonymized.
• Security records, such as sign-in logs, are kept only as long as needed for security and fraud prevention, as described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
• Copies in our routine encrypted backups are overwritten on the normal backup cycle, within 90 days after deletion.
• Data that has been anonymized and can no longer identify you may be kept.

What this doesn't cover

• Your QuickBooks company file, and the QBHub sync tool on your own computer, belong to you and are not affected. You can uninstall QBHub separately at any time.
• Other privacy requests, such as getting a copy of your data or correcting it, are covered in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
